Author Services
Expert Book Editing
If you're looking to elevate your book's writing and professionalism, my editing service will ensure that your manuscript reaches its full potential. Whether this is your 1st book or 101st, I'll help improve the style and clarity of your manuscript so your words pack a punch.
Developmental Editing
Are you looking to enhance your manuscript's character, plot, pacing, or structure? Developmental editing is a collaborative process where I strive to preserve your unique voice while making your work the best it can be.
Line Editing
Maybe you've got the big picture stuff in the bag, but you need help to make each paragraph and sentence sing. With line editing, I'll focus on doing a line-by-line review of the text. This involves making changes to the structure and language to improve precision, clarity, and accuracy. With line editing, I'll focus on readability, sentence structure, and word choice so that your ideas are presented to the reader in the best possible way.
Proofreading
The cherry on top. Everything else is done. The character, plot, and structure have been sculpted to perfection. Each sentence has been tuned to resonate. Proofreading is the process of reviewing the final draft to ensure consistency and accuracy in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting. It's the final step, the last chance to catch any pesky errors.
Audiobook proofing (a.k.a. proof listening)
Narrators are great, but as supernatural as their voice acting may be, they're only human. Proof listening is the process by which I listen to your audiobook while reading along with your finalized manuscript. I'll be listening for missed or mistaken words, incorrect voices, mispronunciations, and audio quality issues like background noises, changes in volume, poorly spliced corrections, and the dreaded mouth noises.
Publishing assistance
You thought being an indie author was all writing, rainbows, and good times... but then reality came along and slapped you with the fact that you're now a small business owner. Yeah, people glam it up by calling you a solopreneur, but it doesn't change the fact that being an army of one really sucks sometimes.
The good news is there's help! The rise of self-publishing begat the rise in author support services, namely, the Publishing Assistant. That's me! (A.K.A. the Renfield to your Dracula, the Igor to your Dr. Frankenstein, the Patsy to your King Arthur.)
Say goodbye to all those pesky admin tasks. You write the book, I'll take care of everything else.
